urls gone wrong

I have just had an email from my client who received one from their SEO company asking “Why are there numbers at the end of the urls of their site”.

The page in question for example is http://www.newyoubootcamp.com/about-us.html But they are saying that the url now reads as: www.newyoubootcamp.com/about-us.html?1217497122454

Has anyone come across this before as it is messing up the pay-per- click campaign.

Any help or advice would be gratefully received.

One the face of it, It looks like an incorrectly configured GET variable.

Which in PHP would normally be configured by: http://www.mydomain/ page.php?variable_name=value

Clicking on the last URL produces an error, or is that an edited 404 error page?

From what page, is creating the link: http://www.newyoubootcamp.com/aboutus.html?1217497122454

Hi David

I can’t see it using FF, but my client does - they’re using IE7 on Vista PC. I have a screen shot they sent me.

Hi Nathan, You have the Cache Buster action applied to the page. Remove it, republish, upload and you should be back in action. Regards, Tim.
