Deselect?
Is there a way to deselect everything without having to drop the tool? i mean something opposite to Select All (like Shift-command-A in illustrator)
Also, i’d really suggest as an improvement for future versions the option of blending paths and shapes. There are plenty of illustration techniques that benefit from blending and are very difficult to obtain otherwise.
Other than that, congratulations on the terrific application!

30 Jul 2008, 4:47 amThere isn’t any kind of “select none” command. The easiest way to do this is to click with the selection tool in an empty space where no object exists. If there isn’t an empty space available you can shift-click a selected object to deselect it, then click that object again to select only it. If you really want to select nothing rather than just one thing, you can shift-click that object again to deselect it leaving nothing selected.
FWIW, I’d never actually noticed the shift-cmd-A behavior of Illustrator so perhaps that should be emulated.

There are a few apps that do that, including iTunes.

8 Aug 2008, 1:44 pmActually is a minor command, and i could live without it in many apps. However, i find it very useful when doing drawings that needs “flow” (like this http://web.mac.com/jzarracina/iWeb/Javier%20zarracina%20Web/WIP_files/slideshow.html?slideIndex=9) and is uncomfortable to have to drop the path tool for selecting other object, then returning, etc… Another option could be having a key than temporarily switchs to the selection tool while pressed (“command” in Illustrator) and returns to the locked tool when released.

8 Aug 2008, 5:37 pmIn the final version of 3.0 “Deselect All” is attached to cmd-shift-A. It’s an alternate menu item to “Select All” so you don’t see it in the edit menu unless you hold down the shift key.
This key equivalent had been used for “Align” but this seems to be the de facto standard.
